The 5th edition of THE AFRICA CEO FORUM is to be held at the InterContinental hotel of Geneva on 20-21 March 2017.

Faced with a deteriorating economic situation, which poses a long-term challenge to the financing capacity of companies and countries within Africa, the AFRICA CEO FORUM 2017, which will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, has been organized with a view to responding to the necessity of stimulating the flow of international funding and investments toward the continent.

Over 40 airline companies operate direct flights from Geneva International Airport to 130 destinations worldwide. There are regular buses, trains and taxis from the airport to the centre of Geneva (6 minutes by train). There are also high-speed rail links from Geneva city centre to Paris and Brussels.

Public transport in Geneva is free for hotel guests. Just ask for your Geneva Transport Card when you arrive at your hotel. When you arrive in Geneva, remember to pick up your free 80-minute transport pass before you leave the airport. To get to the Intercontinental, take bus number 5 and get off at the Intercontinental stop.


To ensure that every delegate has the best possible experience, the 2017 AFRICA CEO FORUM will be held in the luxurious, state-of-the-art facilities of the InterContinental Hotel in Geneva.

The InterContinental Hotel is situated halfway between the centre of Geneva and the airport. It is a 3-minute walk from the United Nations building and less than 5 minutes’ drive from the Palexpo exhibition centre and Geneva’s luxury shopping district. It is also served by bus number 5 (the InterContinental stop). You can get a free 80-minute transport pass at the airport.


Switzerland is an associated member state of the Schengen agreement and hence part of the Schengen area. For individuals who are required to hold a visa, Switzerland will issue Schengen visas for a stay up to three months that are valid for the whole Schengen area. Please be aware that the application process will take time, so apply early enough (minimum 4 weeks before travel date).
