Abdou Souleye Diop is Partner of Mazars, an internationally integrated partnership, specialising in audit, accountancy, advisory, tax and legal services. He is the Managing Partner of Mazars in Morocco, member of the Board of Mazars in Africa and the Middle East and he is in charge of the Business Development of the Group in this region.
He has more than 25 years of experience in audit and advisory across the african continent for governments (Burkina Faso, Comores, Mauritania, Burundi, Senegal, Madagascar…), public interest companies or large corporates (private or public large companies) and international donors on strategic subjects, sector reforms or development policies. He also accompanies numerous moroccan companies in their development on the African continent such as banks, insurance companies, telecom companies, industrials, real estate companies…
Abdou Diop is the committee chair “Africa” of the Confédération Générale des Entreprises du Maroc (CGEM), the moroccan employers. He is in charge of strengthening economic relations between Morocco and its partners on the continent.
Abdou Diop is a key actor in the development of moroccan private sector strategy in Africa. He carried out several actions to strengthen cooperation between Morocco and african countries. He’s consellor in public policies and national or sectorial strategies for many african governments at the highest level.
Abdou Diop is multilingual (French, English, Arabic, Hindi, etc). His expertise in many economic sectors is regularly requested (telecoms, infrastructure, health, agriculture, finance, etc.) as well as his knowledge of the african continent for providing insights through articles, publications or moderating and panelist services in forums or international conferences. He is currently pursuing the Senior Executive Program Africa at Harvard University.
He won several prestigious titles and awards and is listed in 2021 among the 100 personalities who are transforming Africa.
