Serigne Barro

With over 18 years of experience, Serigne is among Francophone Africa’s digital pioneers. Since he founded People Input at age 24, his career has been tied closely to the company’s. Shortly after graduating from Institut Supérieur du Commerce (ISC) Paris in 2000, Serigne began his career as a web marketing and strategy consultant, and then went on to be project leader at SQLI, one of France’s top web agencies. Two years later, he returned home to set up People Input, the 1st “web agency” in Senegal and Francophone Africa. In 2004, he spearheaded People Input’s strategic shift to mobile services and developed business activities in other Francophone African countries: Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon and Mali. With the advent of social networks in 2010, he quickly positioned People Input as the 1st Digital Agency in Francophone Africa. Under Serigne’s watch, People Input has won prestigious awards that attest to the high quality of its services: Award for WAEMU’s Best ICT Initiative, Senegal’s Best ICT Company, Senegal’s Best Digital Agency and West Africa’s Best Business Solution.
