Babacar Ka joined DPI 8 years ago as an associate and is now a Principal and deal-lead. Babacar leads on investments, sourcing, structuring, executing, and exiting transactions across the continent, sitting on numerous portfolio company boards including Université Privée de Marrakech (UPM), Atlantique Business International (ABI), and Food Concepts. Prior to DPI, Babacar worked as a Summer Associate at Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund  (Standard Bank Group) where he assessed and structured debt investments in the mining, infrastructure and telecommunication sectors across Sub-Saharan Africa.
