Birna OSK EINARSDÓTTIR
Chief Commercial Officer, APM Terminals
During her career, Birna has held a number of leadership and managerial positions in Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Project Management. Over 20 years, Birna has held positions at some of Iceland’s largest organisations, such as Chief Commercial Officer at Iceland Telecom and Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Landsvirkjun, the national power company. Her last position, before joining APM Terminals, was at Icelandair where she was Chief Commercial Officer until the end of 2021. She has also served as a board member in various companies and non-profits in Iceland.
In January 2022, Birna was appointed Chief Commercial Officer at APM Terminals and joined the company’s global management team. She is leading global and regional teams, including those in Africa & Europe, responsible for customer experience, market intelligence & strategy, product development, revenue management and sales – all focused on creating and capturing value for APM Terminals’ shipping line customers and lifting the standard of customer experience at each of the company’s 60 locations around the world. As part of this, APM Terminals is using technology to lift standards of efficiency and digital connectivity for its customers.
