Brenda Mbathi is a seasoned executive with a dynamic career spanning diverse sectors across Africa, from Fast Moving Consumer Goods to Energy, Digital Technology to Aviation, Healthcare to Infrastructure. Currently serving as the CEO of Two Rivers International Finance and Innovation Centre SEZ (TRIFIC SEZ), Brenda spearheads the pioneering venture, establishing the first privately owned bespoke-to-business services Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Kenya.
TRIFIC SEZ is dedicated to attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into Kenya, empowering businesses to access global service markets and worldwide investments competitively. Brenda’s leadership is instrumental in fostering an environment conducive to innovation and growth, with a vision to position TRIFIC as Africa’s next talent powerhouse.
With a proven track record in stakeholder engagement, Brenda has served on prestigious boards and committees, including President Biden’s Advisory Committee on Doing Business in Africa and the American Chamber of Commerce in Kenya. Currently, she serves as Vice Chairperson of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and is a Governor of the MPESA Foundation Academy.
