Caesar MWANGI
Dean, Strathmore University Business School
Caesar Mwangi is the Executive Dean of the School of Business at Strathmore University. Prior to his appointment as Executive Dean, he was Group Managing Director of ICEA LION Insurance Holdings Ltd. He has also been an adjunct faculty member at SBS since the launch of the first MBA programme in 2006.
He holds a PhD in Organisational Performance and Change Management from the University of Johannesburg, an MBA in Corporate Strategy and Finance from Wits Business School and a BA in Economics from the University of Nairobi. He also holds various professional qualifications, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA (K)) Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Executive Leadership Coach from the Coach Development Institute (CDI Africa). He is a trained facilitator using the organisational culture transformation tools developed by the Barrett Values Centre (London, UK) and the Leadership Challenge methodology developed by Wiley & Sons (UK).
Mr Mwangi has chaired a number of boards, including the Kenya Markets Trust, the Investment Committee of the South African Council of Churches, the Board of Trustees of Kianda School and the Strathmore Education Registered Trust, with trustee responsibilities for the University of Strathmore, Strathmore School and Eastland’s College of Technology.
