Maria HÅKANSSON
CEO, Swedfund
Maria Håkansson is since 2018 the CEO of Swedfund, the
Swedish Government’s Development Finance Institution.
Swedfund’s mission is sustainable investments in developing
countries to contribute to Agenda 2030. Swedfund focuses on
investments in Energy & Climate, Food Systems, SME’s and
digitalization. Maria Håkansson is a business-oriented executive with experience in finance, M&A, sales, digitalization and new
business models. She has a strong track record in building sustainable businesses and a long experience from leading global multi-cultural teams. Before joining Swedfund, Maria Håkansson has 20 years of experience from a variety of senior positions at Ericsson. She has also worked a number of years in the shipping industry. She has held several board positions as is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the European Development Finance Institutions (EDFI) and Munters Group. Maria Håkansson holds a Master of Science in Business Administration with a major in business control and accounting from University of Stockholm.
