Uzoma Dozie is a leading figure in the Nigerian finance and
banking landscape, with expertise spanning banking,
technology, and investment. He currently serves as the CEO
and Founder of Sparkle, a mobile-first micro-finance bank
and technology platform focused on empowering Nigeria’s
digital natives and retail sector. Uzoma boasts over 20 years of experience in the Nigerian banking sector, culminating in his role as Group Managing Director and Bank CEO of Diamond Bank from 2014 to 2018. There, he spearheaded the bank’s digital transformation agenda, whilst growing the customer base to 18m+. During his tenure, Uzoma successfully navigated the institution’s
merger with Access Bank Plc, resulting in the new institution
becoming Africa’s largest bank.
