Nana Akufo-Addo

President, Ghana

Nana Akufo-Addo was elected President of Ghana on 7 December 2017. He previously served three terms as a Member of Parliament between 1996 and 2008 and was the first Chairperson of DHL Ghana Limited. Mr. Akufo-Addo served in the government of President John Kufuor as Attorney-General and Minister of Justice for two years and later as Foreign Minister for five years. As Foreign Minister, he was fully involved in the successful peace efforts of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea Bissau.
