Yves Brahima KONE

Managing Director, Conseil Café Cacao

Born in 1951 in Sinématiali, in the northern part of Côte d’Ivoire, Mr. KONE Brahima Yves is an Agricultural Engineer. He holds a degree in General Agronomy from the National School of Agronomy of Abidjan, a degree in Advanced Agronomy from the National School of Agronomy of Rennes in France and a degree in Financial, Economic, and Banking Studies from the Training Center of the Caisse Française de Développement in Paris, France.

Since August 2017, he is the Managing Director of Le Conseil Café-Cacao (the Coffee and Cocoa Board). His accomplishments in this position include: 

–          Implementation of the harvest forecasting system;

–          Obtaining the Living Income Differential (LID);

–          Carrying out the census of cocoa and coffee farmers and their orchards;

–          Design of the farmer professional electronic card;

–          Implementation of the national traceability system.

Under the leadership of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Alassane Ouattara, he has made local cocoa processing, his main focus. Thus, in 2020, TRANSCAO, an industrial cocoa processing unit was founded in San Pedro with a capacity of 50,000 tons. In addition, an industrial complex built in Akoupé Zédji with a capacity of 50,000 tons, will be inaugurated on May 30, 2025.
