With a background in technology consulting and over 15 years of experience in FMCG, Deepankar previously founded VConnect, one of Nigeria’s earliest SME-focused digital platforms.

His work spans the digitization of fragmented supply chains, crowdsourced demand intelligence, and the integration of financial services to close Africa’s $1 trillion retail gap. Leveraging his expertise in data infrastructure, he also led high-impact consulting for global CPG giants before founding Mplify, a sales and marketing automation platform addressing retail fragmentation at scale.

This journey culminated in the launch of Omnibiz, now part of OmniRetail, A decentralized commerce ecosystem that integrates logistics, embedded finance (Omnipay), and AI-powered shelf analytics (Omnishelf). Under his leadership, OmniRetail has achieved EBIT profitability, forged strategic partnerships across warehousing, logistics, and finance, and was recently named Africa’s Fastest Growing Company by the Financial Times.
