Folawe OMIKUNLE

Ambassador - Africa, Teach for All

Folawe Omikunle is a highly accomplished social entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in education, development, nonprofit management, fundraising, and sustainability. She holds degrees in International Law and Diplomacy, Diplomatic Studies, and Montessori Education from Babcock University, the University of Westminster, and Corona College of Education, respectively, as well as executive certifications from Lagos Business School, Saïd Business School, and Harvard University.

As the founding CEO of Teach For Nigeria, she led efforts to address educational inequity by mobilizing graduates to teach in underserved schools. Under her leadership, the organization impacted over 300,000 students and nurtured nearly 1,000 young leaders. She also fostered alumni‑led initiatives that earned national recognition, including the Best Education Innovation of the Year award.

Folawe’s contributions to the education sector have earned her accolades, including being listed on YNaija’s PowerList of the ten most influential Nigerians under 40, Leading Ladies Africa’s 100 most inspiring Nigerian women, and HER Network’s Education Woman of the Year. In 2020, she was celebrated as one of the 60 most inspiring and impactful women in Nigeria in honor of the country’s 60th Independence Day. In 2022, she was a Top 10 Finalist for the Africa Education Medal. She is also a Fellow of the Archbishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Fellowship.

She currently leads Fro Limited, where she supports social impact leaders and organizations in achieving their missions. She serves as an Ambassador for Teach For All in Africa and sits on the boards of the Nigerian Breweries – Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund and Women Emerging.
