H.E. Jacques Assahoré KONAN
Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Republic of Côte d'Ivoire

Mr. ASSAHORE Konan Jacques, Minister of Environment, Sustainable Development and Ecological Transition, was born on July 8, 1961, in Sinfra.
He is married and the father of five children.
A graduate of the Advanced Cycle of the National School of Administration (ENA) in 1989, his career has been marked by a strong commitment to public administration, particularly within the Public Treasury, where he rose through the ranks. He successively served as Head of Department, Advisor to the Director General, Authorizing Officer, General Treasurer, Public Debt Accountant, Deputy Director General, and ultimately, Director General of the Treasury and Public Accounting in 2016.
Thanks to his visionary leadership, the Public Treasury was transformed into a more efficient administration, capable of effectively supporting Côte d’Ivoire’s economic growth. Among his key achievements are the ISO 9001:2015 certification of the Treasury, the establishment of internal auditing, the modernization of financial flows and state internal controls through tools like TrésorPay-TrésorMoney and the Single Treasury Account (CUT), the coordination of public debt restructuring negotiations, and the mobilization of capital market resources.
In 2021, he was elected Member of Parliament for the Diabo-Languibonou constituency and has been serving as President of the Gbêkê Regional Council since September 2, 2023.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. ASSAHORE Konan Jacques was appointed Head of the Finance Commission for the Organizing Committee of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (COCAN), playing a key role in preparations for the tournament hosted by Côte d’Ivoire in January 2024.
A tireless public servant, Minister ASSAHORE has received numerous honors in recognition of his contributions to quality public service. These include the Public Administration Partnership Award in 2017, the Award for Innovation and Service Quality Improvement in 2018, the 2019 Pan-African Special Award for Best Public Administration in West Africa, and elevation to the rank of Commander of the National Order.
Since October 17, 2023, he has served as Minister of Environment, Sustainable Development and Ecological Transition in the government led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré MAMBE.
