Nicole MALAN
Power Systems Vice-President, Schneider Electrics

Nicole Malan is an experienced engineer and dynamic executive leader, emblematic of a new generation reshaping Africa’s energy future. A graduate of the Institut National Polytechnique Houphouët Boigny (INPHB) in Ivory Coast, she further enhanced her academic journey with a specialized master’s in industrial management, Project, and Supply Chain from Centrale Supélec, a master’s in finance from IAE Paris-Sorbonne Business School, and a Disruptive Strategy certificate from Havard.
With 18 years of professional experience in energy activities (oil, gas, nuclear, electricity, renewable energy, etc.) and building, her career began at Invensys (now part of Schneider Electric) as an automation and DSC Application engineer, followed by key project management roles at ENGIE E&P and AREVA NP, where she led a portfolio of 40 contracts worth €450 million and honed her skills in team leadership and large-scale contract management.
Nicole joined Schneider Electric in 2019 as Tendering & Project Management Director for West and Central Africa, before taking the helm of the Francophone Africa and Islands Hub in 2022.
Today, as Vice President of Power Systems since October 2024 for French-Speaking Africa and Islands, she oversees commercial activities of the business unit, serving critical segments of Power & Grid, Mobility, Mining, Minerals and Metals, Energies & Chemicals.
Along with a multi-cultural team, she leads an annual portfolio worthing more than €100 million and operations spanning 64 countries—from North and Sub-Saharan Africa to the Caribbean and Pacific islands.
