Born in 1972, Noëllie Cécile Tiendrébéogo has pursued a solid academic career.
Following a scientific baccalaureate, she earned a master’s degree in business administration and a DESS in finance, accounting, and management control from the University of Ouagadougou. She further strengthened her skills with an international certificate in corporate finance from ICCF-HEC Paris, one of Europe’s most prestigious schools.
Her professional career began in 1997 at Technisem West-Africa in Dakar, Senegal. In 1998, she joined Societe Generale Burkina Faso, where she successively held the positions of Head of Organizations and Procedures, and in charge of commercial accounts.
In 2005, she joined Ecobank Burkina Faso, rising through the ranks from Head of SMEs and SMIs to Director of the Corporate Bank, then, Executive Director.
In 2019, she achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first woman to be appointed Chief Executive Officer of a bank in Burkina Faso, heading the subsidiary of the United Bank for Africa Banking Group, UBA Burkina Faso.
In 2021, she returned to the Ecobank Group as Managing Director of the Burkina Faso subsidiary, marking another first for this banking subsidiary since its creation.
Noëllie Cécile Tiendrébéogo’ s exceptional career has been recognized continentally. In 2021, she was named one of the top 50 bank executives in Africa by Reputation Poll International.
She is now a leading figure in women’s leadership within the African financial sector.
