Seydou COULIBALY

Director General of Mines and Geology, Ministry of Mines, Petroleum and Energy of Côte d'Ivoire

Coulibaly Seydou is a Mining Engineer, graduated from the Félix Houphouët-Boigny National Polytechnic Institute in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.

With over 30 years of experience in the mining industry, he has held various leadership roles in Côte d’Ivoire and Mali, with a focus on production, mining engineering, and site management.

From 1993 to 1998, he started his career as a junior engineer at the Adema gold mine in Aboisso (Côte d’Ivoire).
From 1999 to 2003, he served as Production Superintendent at the Angovia gold mine (Compagnie Minière d’Afrique – Cominor Group, now Endeavour Mining) in Bouaflé.
From 2004 to 2007, he worked in Mali as Production Manager at the Morila gold mine (Randgold).
From 2008 to 2012, he was appointed Operations Director at the Yaouré gold mine (Cluff-Gold) in Côte d’Ivoire.
From 2013 to 2014, he was Director of Mining Engineering at the Société pour le Développement Minier.
From 2014 to 2023, he served as Technical Advisor to the Minister of Mines.
Since April 4, 2023, he has been the Director General of Mines and Geology at the Ministry of Mines, Petroleum and Energy of Côte d’Ivoire.
