Family Business Award

The "Family Business" award recognises a family business that excels in governance, combining entrepreneurial management and family leadership. The winner of this award stands out not only for its economic success, but above all for its trans-generational vision and its desire to pass on family values and heritage.

African family businesses.

Submission is either by application, nomination by a third party (company or individual) or identification by the Africa CEO Forum editorial team.

Criteria

Headquarters in Africa.
Annual revenue of less than €1 billion.
Annual revenue of more than €50m.
The family owns at least 50% of the voting rights (25% in the case of a listed company).
At least two generations of the family are active at executive level.
The family demonstrates its absolute desire to pass the company on to future generations and assumes its values through the vision and strategic direction of the company.
