Dr. Ahmed EL-SOBKY

Deputy Minister of Health & Population, Republic of Egypt

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky is a physician with a unique hybrid experience in both clinical and managerial aspects.
He’s originally a radiologist with a Ph.D. degree in Diagnostic Radiology from Menoufia University.

He also has a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from ESLSCA University and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the American University in Cairo. He also earned the Egyptian Fellowship degree in healthcare management. Dr. Ahmed is a graduate of both 1st batches of Egypt’s presidential leadership program and the executive presidential leadership program. He’s currently preparing a Master’s degree in Clinical Services Operations at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Ahmed is currently the Egyptian Minister of Health and Population’s deputy for Monitoring and Follow-up affairs and the Project Manager for Universal Health Insurance National Project as well as the chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority.
