Yosuke KOTSUJI

Manager, Agribusiness & Forestry Africa, IFC

Yosuke, a Japanese national, brings nearly 20 years of global investment experience. Yosuke joined IFC in 2008 in IFC’s Global Agribusiness team in Washington DC and subsequently worked for the Africa Agribusiness team based in Dakar and then in Nairobi. Prior to joining IFC, Yosuke worked with Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division in Japan conducting financial advisory for M&A and equity transactions across Asia, Europe and the U.S.

As a new business manager, Yosuke has been focusing on scaling IFC’s program in agribusiness in Africa to strengthen food security and farmer incomes in close collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders. Yosuke has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tokyo. ​​​​​​​
