Gender Leader Award - Africa CEO Forum 2024

The “Gender Leader” trophy celebrates the company, active in Africa, that has distinguished itself through its efforts to increase the number of women within its executive bodies (board of directors, top management, etc.), with a strategy to promote women leadership and social initiatives that foster the inclusion of women more generally.

Eligible candidates

The call for applications is open until 05 April, 2024.

Any company or group of companies mainly operating in Africa, with a minimum turnover of 50 million euros and at least 300 employees.
Application, nomination by a third party (company or individual) or identification by the Africa CEO Forum editorial team.

Criteria for African companies

Woman CEO.
Women representation on the board of directors of the company and its subsidiaries in Africa.
Number of women appointed to the board(s) of firectors of the company and its subsidiaries in the past year.
Percentage of women appointed to the executive committee in the past year.
Number of women appointed to the executive committee in the past year.
Number and percentage of women appointed to senior management positions.
Company’s strategy for promoting women’s leadership at various levels (mentoring and sponsorship programs, young talent program, etc.): level of achievement versus what remains to be done.

Women representation on the African subsidiaries’ board of directors.
Number of women appointed to the board(s) of directors in Africa.
Percentage of women on the executive committee in Africa.
Company’s strategy for promoting women’s leadership at various levels (mentoring and sponsorship programs, young talent program, etc.): level of achievement versus what remains to be done.
