Charles van der Steene oversees the commercial and operational activities of A.P. Moller – Maersk across the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East and Africa (IMEA) as Managing Director. Charles joined Maersk in 2011 and has since held several senior leadership positions across Europe and North America. Most recently, he served as Regional President for North America, leading one of Maersk’s largest markets and playing a key role in advancing the company’s transformation into an integrated logistics provider. 
Prior to this, he held executive positions within Maersk’s logistics businesses, including leadership roles at Damco. He brings extensive experience in global supply chains, commercial strategy and operational transformation.
