Peter Geleta is the Trinity Metals Group Chief Executive Officer and Board Director. He also sits on the Trinity Metals Rutongo Board of Directors. During his career, he amassed 35 years of experience at some of the leading mining organisations in the world.

As the former CEO of Acacia Mining, an FTSE 250 listed Gold Mining company, Peter led the organisation’s turnaround from a loss-making to a highly profitable business in two years. Before this, Peter held several operational and corporate leadership roles at AngloGold Ashanti, where he was a part of the team that set up the company’s Africa Region operations and BarrickGold.

A UK-bred, South African national, Peter has extensive industry experience across every continent except Antarctica. He spent more than 30 years working across several African Countries, including Mali, Guinea, Burkino Faso, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Nambia, Morocco, Ghana, Senegal, Congo, and DRC. He has also served as the Chief Operating Officer for Averda International, leading teams across India, the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

A writing, sports, and travel enthusiast, Peter holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town.
