A graduate of ESCP Europe, Hassanein Hiridjee returned to Madagascar in 1997 and took the reins of the family’s half-century-old business. In 2015, the business became AXIAN group with the aim of becoming an African champion in key sectors for the sustainable growth of the continent, notably telecoms, energy and financial services. It now has 6,400 employees. “CEO of the Year” at the 2022 Africa CEO Forum, Hassanein is also a contemporary art enthusiast and patron of artists via the H Foundation
