Ms. Funke Opeke, is founder and CEO of MainOne, a broadband infrastructure company that provides innovative telecoms services and network solutions across West Africa.
MainOne has played a major role in changing West Africa’s Internet landscape as the company built West Africa’s first privately owned, submarine cable system interconnecting Lagos, Nigeria; Accra, Ghana; and Seixal, Portugal in 2010 as well as West Africa’s largest commercial Tier III data center, MDXi in 2015.
The company has grown to become the leading provider of Wholesale and Enterprise connectivity and data center services across the region and continues to expand its footprint with investments in regional Points of presence and services covering 10 countries in West Africa and in building out terrestrial fiber networks across Nigeria.
