President, Basketball Africa League
Amadou Gallo Fall is President of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), where he led its historic launch in 2021 and guides its vision and operations to grow basketball and cultivate a premier sports ecosystem across the continent.
Previously, as VP & Managing Director of NBA Africa, Fall opened the league’s Johannesburg office in 2010, spearheading grassroots development and major commercial partnerships. His career in elite basketball began with the Dallas Mavericks, where he served as Director of Player Personnel and VP of International Affairs.
A committed philanthropist, Fall founded SEED (Sports for Education and Economic Development) in 1998 to empower African youth. His impact has earned him the Naismith Legacy Award (2023) and a spot on New African’s 100 Most Influential Africans. He is a magna cum laude graduate and Hall of Fame inductee of the University of the District of Columbia.
