Since August 2025, Mr Amadou Hott serves as Chair of Vision Invest Africa Advisory Board and senior representative of the firm in Africa. He provides strategic guidance on Africa-related matters and transactions, oversees regional strategy, manages key stakeholder relationships, and supports portfolio growth across the continent. Amadou Hott was the nominee of Senegal for the Office of President of the African Development Bank Group. Before that, he was Special Envoy of the President of the African Development Bank and Global Champion for the Alliance for Green Infrastructure in Africa in November 2022. Until his appointment as Special Envoy, Hott was Minister of Economy, Planning and Cooperation in Senegal in April 2019. During his tenure he helped maintain Senegal’s position as a leading economy in West Africa, helping prevent the recession during the covid 19 pandemic. He spearheaded the revamping of the Public Private Partnerships (PPP) framework which led to the more attractive, transparent and balanced new law with landmark innovations. Before becoming Minister, Hott was the Vice President of the African Development Bank’s Power, Energy, Green Growth and Climate Change Complex, since November 2016.
