Eric DUVAL
CEO & Founder, Duval Group
Éric Duval is the founder of Groupe Duval, which he now co-leads alongside his daughter Pauline Boucon Duval and his son Louis-Victor Duval.
A long-term committed entrepreneur, he has built an independent group that today employs 6,000 people, generates €1 billion in revenue, and continues to experience sustained growth both in France and internationally, particularly in Africa and Asia.
Under his leadership, Groupe Duval has established itself as France’s leading family-owned company to integrate the entire real estate value chain, operating simultaneously as developer, investor, asset manager, and operator.
This comprehensive expertise enables the Group to design innovative and sustainable models, as illustrated by the unprecedented 30-year concession agreement signed for the renovation of the Cercle National des Armées. This project reflects a pioneering approach combining heritage enhancement, environmental performance, and operational continuity, without the use of public funds.
The Group also holds €3.5 billion in assets and developed the listed real estate company Patrimoine & Commerce.
True to a strategy of controlled diversification, Éric Duval has progressively structured the Group around complementary operational platforms designed to generate long-term value.
In serviced residences, the Group relies on Magora, now a European leader with 650 residences in operation, 1,700 employees, 10 brands, and over 2 million guests welcomed each year, covering a broad range of leisure and business offerings.
In the golf sector, he has also built Europe’s leading operator with UGolf & Bluegreen and the LeClub Golf network, totaling 111 golf courses operated, 1,300 employees, 72,500 members, and a network of 1,000 partner courses worldwide, combining operations, community engagement, and the development of sports and leisure offerings.
Highly committed to the African continent, Éric Duval deploys an integrated, high-impact model combining real estate, financial services, retail, and agribusiness. The Group operates in 10 countries and employs 1,500 people.
In a context of rapid urbanization, the Group positions itself as a global player supporting the transformation of major African cities, with more than €400 million invested in the development of high-value mixed-use projects (shopping centers, offices, hotels, affordable housing), notably in Rwanda, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Togo, and Senegal.
This expansion is supported by partnerships with international financial institutions such as the World Bank and the Agence Française de Développement, as well as by stringent environmental standards, with systematic use of EDGE certification. Each project contributes to job creation, local skills development, and more sustainable growth.
Through its subsidiary Finafrica, the Group serves more than 1.3 million clients via nine microfinance and insurance entities. This dynamic is further strengthened by a structured expansion in retail, with strategic partnerships, notably with La Foir’Fouille and Coopérative U, aimed at offering accessible products with strong value for money while supporting purchasing power.
Through these initiatives, Groupe Duval aims to build sustainable economic ecosystems rooted in strong local presence and value creation for territories.
At the same time, the Group is pursuing its development in Southeast Asia, with operations in Cambodia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Malaysia.
In the energy sector, the Group relies on Ukko, created in 2021, specializing in the development of renewable energy projects as well as electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure, covering the entire value chain from engineering to operations, and positioning itself as a long-term partner to utilities, independent power producers, and industrial players.
In addition, through FedRice, the Group leverages Cambodia’s agricultural potential in the Battambang region, particularly Phka Malis rice, awarded “World’s Best Rice” seven times, by developing production and processing activities geared toward international markets.
Beyond its business activities, Éric Duval demonstrates a strong commitment to society.
Through the Fondation Duval, created in 2020 and active in several African countries, the Group supports initiatives focused on education, training, and youth employment integration.
He is also committed to supporting military families through a partnership with the Comité d’Entraide Défense, providing long-term assistance to bereaved families and orphans.
In the same spirit of civic engagement, Groupe Duval has signed a partnership with the National Guard to support employees engaged, or wishing to engage, as reservists.
Éric Duval is a Knight of the Légion d’honneur and of the Ordre des Palmes académiques.
He is also an Officer of the national orders of Mali, Côte d’Ivoire, and Cambodia.
He serves as Honorary Consul in France for the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire and São Tomé and Príncipe.
In 2019, he was appointed Ambassador of the Gravissimum Educationis Foundation by Pope Francis to develop international educational projects.
He also received the “Women Together” award at the United Nations for his actions in support of women.
In 2025, Éric Duval was honored with the Grand Prix for Economic Influence at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
