Ismahill Diaby is a senior executive with more than 20 years of experience across banking, financial services, and digital payments in Europe and Africa. He currently serves as Vice President and Head of the Western & Central Francophone & Lusophone Africa Cluster at Visa Inc., where he leads the company’s strategy, client relationships, and business operations across 17 countries from the regional hub in Abidjan.

He joined Visa Inc. after a successful career in banking and money transfer services. At Western Union, he spent seven years as Regional Marketing and Business Development Manager for West Africa, overseeing growth initiatives across nine Francophone and Anglophone markets. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles at BNP Paribas in Côte d’Ivoire, including Head of Business Development and Director of the Consumer Retail Banking (Deputy Director of Retail Banking).

Since joining Visa, he has held successive leadership positions of increasing responsibility, first based in Morocco before being appointed to lead Western and Central Africa. He is recognized for driving business growth, strengthening partnerships with financial institutions, fintechs, governments, and merchants, and accelerating the adoption of secure digital payments across the region.
