Josiane TCHOUNGUI

Managing Director, Atlantic Cocoa Corporation

Josiane TCHOUNGUI holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Management from the Catholic University of Central Africa in Yaoundé, a Postgraduate Diploma in Banking and Financial Institutions Management from IESEG Lille, an Executive Certificate in Management from HEC Paris, an Executive Certificate in Finance from London Business School, and a Certificate in Company Direction (Corporate Governance) from the Institute of Directors in London.

She began her career in 1996 as Administrative and Financial Manager at the Catholic University of Central Africa in Yaoundé (UCAC/ICY). From 2000 to 2005, she served as Administrative and Financial Director at ParPharm Agro Industries, and then as Financial Director of Poissonnerie Populaire du Cameroun.

In 2006, she joined Ecobank Cameroon as Wholesale Risk Manager. In 2008, she joined Standard Chartered Bank Cameroon, where she held the positions of Head of Credit and Director of Global Corporates.

In November 2010, she joined BGFIBank Cameroon, where she successively held the positions of Head of Credit, Legal and Compliance, Central Director in charge of Sales, and Deputy Managing Director.

In September 2018, she was appointed Managing Director of Orabank Benin, a position she held for five years.

During this period, she served as Vice-President and Treasurer of the Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions of Benin (APBEF-BENIN) and as a member of the Board of Directors of SOAGA and SGI-BENIN.

Since September 2023, she is the Managing Director of Atlantic Cocoa Corporation, a cocoa processing company based in Kribi, Cameroon.

Josiane TCHOUNGUI sits on the Board of Directors of Orange Money Cameroon, ECOBANK Central African Republic, and FedhEn Capital.

On personal development goals, Josiane TCHOUNGUI is an active member of several associations focused on social inclusion, solidarity and educational support (CAPITAL GENERATION, CLUB PRIVILEGE, AMICALE CATHO, FIDUCAC, and ASAURA).

Also advocating for good governance in Africa, Josiane TCHOUNGUI is a founding and board member of the African Institute of Governance (IAG).

She is a Cameroonian, married, and mother of two.
