Katie Hill is an Expert Partner in Climate & Energy at Boston Consulting Group, based in Nairobi, Kenya. She co-leads the climate investing topic for BCG, as well as Green Growth Acceleration for climate-smart companies in Africa. She drives work on clean energy and sustainable finance across emerging markets and also contributes to digital infrastructure work in green data centers. She has spent over 15 years as an investor and operator in high-impact climate, energy and technology companies.

Prior to joining BCG, Katie launched and led a climate and clean energy team at Apple designed to decarbonize Apple’s product manufacturing worldwide. She also held roles such as the Global Director for Business Operations at Liquid Intelligent Technologies (formerly Liquid Telecom), a pan-Africa digital infrastructure company, and Energy Portfolio Manager for Acumen, a leading impact investment firm. Katie is on the Board of BioLite, an energy technology company, and the Energy for Growth Hub, an applied research organization. Katie received her MBA and an MS in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. She is a TED Fellow and World Economic Forum “Young Global Leader.
