Neel is a senior pharmaceutical executive with more than 20 years’ experience spanning commercial operations, marketing, and data and analytics, underpinned by academic training in pharmacy and business management.

He joined AstraZeneca in 2024 and has since held several regional leadership roles. He currently serves as Interim Country President for AstraZeneca’s African Cluster, where he leads launch readiness and drives performance across multiple markets, embedding scalable frameworks to strengthen customer engagement and execution excellence. He has also provided interim leadership for the BioPharmaceuticals Business Unit, reflecting his adaptability and focus on continuity through transition.

Earlier in his career, Neel held positions at several leading pharmaceutical companies, building an end‑to‑end industry perspective that combines market-facing execution with data‑driven decision-making and change management. He is known for strategic insight, operational discipline, and the ability to build trusted, cross‑functional partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders.
