Aboubaker Omar HADI

Chairman, Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority

Mr. Hadi studied transport and logistics in Le Havre, France and at the World Maritime University in Sweden before becoming director of operations at the port of Djibouti in 1992. He was director of the container terminal and, from 1997 to 2008, sales director. He also participated in the definition of the port of Doraleh (up to 1.5 million containers a year). He headed Tin Can Island, near Lagos, Nigeria, for three years before becoming president of the DPFZA in 2001.
