Issad Rebrab founded Cevital in 1998. Initially focused on the food industry, the privately owned company has diversified into automotive, household appliances, transport (road, sea), float glass production and large-scale retail, to become Algeria’s largest conglomerate. Cevital has distinguished itself in recent years by taking over a number of industrial companies (aluminium, household appliances, steel, etc.) in France (Oxxo, Brandt), Spain (Alas) and Italy (Aferpi).
