Statistics: Women in business in Africa

In Africa today, only 5% of the CEOs of major groups are women. And yet the positive impact of female leaders on financial performance is beyond doubt: businesses on the continent with the most women on their boards have an operating profit over 20% higher than industry averages. Why the discrepancy? How can we change the story and accelerate female leadership?

The Africa CEO Forum is taking its commitment to women’s empowerment and leadership further by hosting in Paris on 2 and 3 July 2018 the first Women in Business Meeting, in partnership with ESSEC.

The two-fold objective is to institute an exclusive annual event that addresses women business leaders, women of influence and women leaders and to co-build the first African professional network of executive women.
